This year Bangladesh Premier League 2022 was scheduled to start in March but according to the media news, BPL T20 is now postponed for the next year once again. This was the eighth edition of BPL T20, one of the popular T20 tournaments after IPL T20 which will now be played in 2022. Although BCB has finally decided the starting date of BPL 2022. BPL 8 will start on January 14 and the final will be played on February 18.
In the last edition of the Bangladesh Premier League i.e. BPL 7 which was held last year in December 2019, Rajshahi Royals won the BPL 2019 series by 21 runs against Khulna Tigers. A total of 7 BPL T20 teams will be playing in this tournament.
